Editors Note: the following is transcribed from the tattered remains of notes believed to be incorporated within, or somehow addressed to, a “Palimpsest”. They were found beneath the ruins of a run-down old shack in the middle of the scary woods. No evidence of the author’s survival had been recovered to date.
…until Now.
It was only due to the unexpected survival of that author – it was I – that the truth has come to light. Undeniable correlations to my inspirational writing style have led to the prosecution and incarceration of the contemptible hack who stole these passages and passed them off as his own work. They are now included here as a kind of return to their rightful place at my side, with some minor revisions.
To enjoy them in their original order, scroll down to the bottom and work your way up – or click here for Part One. I wouldn’t want you to spoil the surprise and find out if I liked The Da Vinci Code or not right at the beginning.

Also, as a general note (and just so I don’t have to have a separate tag or category cluttering up the place to do so) I’d like to express my thanks to the DHD Multimedia Gallery for their free to use images, one of which – by Damon Hart-Davis – has found its way to The Thriller in a Manila‘s header.
If they, or anyone else, ever read this far, then they’ll know just how grateful I really am.
Doubly hiding it away like this.
In, not actually, the words of Bob “James saxophonist Bond” Holness,
“What kind of C, am I?”

I looked for so long for a Da Vinci Code review that matched my thoughts on it, I thought I’d never find one. This was so good, it made my day!
I recently put myself through the ordeal of finishing The Lost Symbol. Never have I felt so much like pricking myself with a hundred needles for some reason. I cannot wait to read what you have to say about that book.

Dear Priyanka,
You like my review? What an extremely charming thing to say!
…but, you want me to read another Dan Brown book? What a cruel and unfriendly torment to inflict.
I will await your abject apology with baited breath.
Yours sincerely,
etc.

Dear Cliff,
Misery likes company. Since I read The Lost Symbol, I have been miserable. I have since been recommending the book to people I don’t like(Unfortunately some of them liked the book).
Now YOU are so productive after you read his books, I cannot resist. I NEED to read an accurate review of that piece of crap because I’m so pissed off.
Ummm think of yourself as a review pimp. Make the john happy. 🙂
Yours in waiting,
Priyanka
P.S. I feel like someone owes ME an apology.

Well, I can at least apologise for how little work I’ve been doing around here. It is now exactly thirteen months since I added a post, still longer since I added one on topic.
But you’re right, company is nice. I’ll see what I can do – as soon as this court case is dealt with…
